What vision problems can LASIK fix?

LASIK works best and is safest in low to moderately high degrees of myopia (nearsightedness) with or without astigmatism. It is not as effective in treating hyperopia (one of the two kinds of farsightedness). It does not correct Presbyopia, the other, age-related kind of farsightedness. And it is not effective at all in treating ocular pathology, e.g. cataracts, macular degeneration, glaucoma, etc.
