Claudia Priego, M.D - Clinical Director

Claudia Priego, originally from Mexico City, has been our exceptional Clinical Director since 2014. She supervises excellent care to our patients provided by our licensed eye doctors and technicians. In this capacity, she ensures the seamless coordination of scheduling, staffing, and clinical testing required by each physician. She received her Medical Degree in Mexico from Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico. Following her medical degree, Claudia Priego completed her three-year residency in Ophthalmology at the Instituto Mexicano del Seguro Social. During her last year of residency, she was awarded the position of Chief Resident. Previous to her career at Woodhams Eye Clinic, she was the Clinical Director at Thomas Eye Group for 11 years and then joined our practice in 2014. She does not provide direct patient care as a licensed eye physician.

Hobbies & Interests

Claudia loves spending time with her husband and two daughters, who recently graduated from UGA and Emory. In her free time, she enjoys reading poetry and personal development books. After a long day at the clinic, Claudia frequents her gym's Zumba class!
