With LASIK.com why do they say “Prices start at $220 per eye”? Also it says something about having a prescription for 12mo. I’ve never had glasses or contacts.

LASIK.com re-directs to Laser Vision Institute's website which says "PRICES START AS LOW AS $220* PER EYE." But the asterisk refers to fine print which explains this does not apply to the overwhelming number of myopic patients. The patients who do qualify have such a low degree of nearsightedness they typically don't wear glasses or contacts anyway. In the world of Sales science, this is called "low-balling" or "bait-and-switch."

Referencing a prospective LASIK patient's past "spec Rx" (glasses prescription) is useful but not absolutely necessary in most cases.
