One of the latest developments in the treatment of refractive disorders is the use of Multi-Focal Lens Implants also called WOODHAMS PRELEX and IMPLANTABLE CONTACT LENSES OR ICL. Dr. Woodhams was among the first surgeons in the United States to utilize Lens Implants in the treatment of myopia, hyperopia, and astigmatism. Multi-focal lens implants are especially effective in allowing patients who wear bifocal prescription glasses or who are extremely nearsighted to reduce or eliminate their dependence on glasses and contact lenses.
