Dr. Hung
Dr. Michael W. Hung received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from the University of Texas at Austin and proceeded to achieve a Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Houston College of Optometry. After serving the clinics at the VA Medical Centers in Spokane, WA and Albuquerque, NM, Dr. Hung moved to Atlanta to join Omni Eye Services. Within this referral center, Dr. Hung served as a consultant in the diagnosis and management of ocular disease.
Dr. Hung joined Woodhams Eye Clinic in 2007 and serves as its Clinic Director. In addition to surgical pre- and post-operative care, Dr. Hung continues to practice medical optometry. In addition, Dr. Hung participates in the education of fellow optometrists. He consistently publishes educational articles in optometric journals and lectures at national conferences. An innovator to current eye care practices, Dr. Hung has served as a clinical investigator to the development of new antibiotics for the treatment of eye infections.
Dr. Hung is an active member of the American Optometric Association, the Greater Atlanta Optometric Association, and currently serves as Trustee of the Georgia Optometric Association. He also volunteers his free time to community vision screenings at the Georgia Special Olympics.
