J.Trevor Woodhams, M.D.
J. Trevor Woodhams, M.D. founded Woodhams Laser & Lens Implant Center in 1983. He performs thousands of Lasik and Intralasik procedures each year, as well as other vision correction procedures such as Visian® Implantable Contact Lenses and Prelex™ (or PREsbyopic Lens EXchange.)
Dr. Woodhams is a former Associate Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology at Emory University, certified by the National Board of Medical Examiners, and a Fellow in the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery.
He participated in the world's first LASIK study in Bogotá, Colombia.
He was the first in Georgia to perform IntraLASE® LASIK blade free laser vision correction procedure, the Crystalens® implant for the treatment of presbyopia, and the first to perform the Visian® Implantable Contact Lens (ICL). He is distinguished as the country’s most experienced surgeon with the ICL .
Dr. Woodhams is actively involved in various clinical research projects and FDA-monitored clinical studies.
Shreya Patel O.D.
Shreya Patel, O.D. joined our practice in July 2011.
Dr. Shreya Patel is a board-certified optometrist who specializes in comprehensive eye care, including pre- and post-operative surgery management. Dr. Patel has been trained to treat and manage multiple ocular diseases. Her background includes extensive experience diagnosing and managing ocular conditions associated with systemic problems such as diabetes and hypertension.
Dr. Patel attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham where she received a Bachelor of Science in Biology. She attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Optometry, where she received her Doctor of Optometry degree. Upon graduation, she completed an optional one-year residency program at the University of Houston.
Dr. Patel is certified by the State Board of Examiners in Optometry and is currently a member of the Greater Atlanta Optometric Association.
